Living in the Wheatbelt is such a special feeling, and it’s hard to explain how amazing it is (Do you agree?) But, I believe that what is captured in theseĀ videos isĀ as close as you will get to that feeling without having the privilege to experience it it real life.
All of these incredible videos have been widely distributed around the web already, so you may have seen them before, but either way, they’re sure to bring a smile to your face this Friday.
1. Harvest by Graeme Carleton
Harvest from Grazer on Vimeo.
“I had the absolute privilege to capture the wheat harvest in Watheroo, Western Australia on the farm belonging to Millsteed & Sons. The wheat belt in Western Australia is truly beautiful country and the people that work the land in these strong rural communities are what really make it, as good as it is. City folk should hold a great appreciation and respect for this industry, that feeds the population domestically and overseas.”
2. Rock Out on the Pathways to Wave Rock
Pathways to Wave Rock was filmed, directed and produced by Black Cyclone in partnership with Roe Tourism Association to showcase the shires of Quairading, Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Kulin, Kondinin, Lake Grace and Narembeen along the “pathways to Wave Rock” and promote this beautiful part of the world. It’s such a fun, bold video that perfectly captures the incredible experiences available in the Wheatbelt.
3. The Wheatbelt Is Just Awesome“The Wheatbelt is Just Awesome” is an initiative of Regional Development Australia Wheatbelt Inc. and based on the song ‘The World is Just Awesome’ composed by the Discovery Channel. It features people young and old from all over the Wheatbelt sharing what they love about the region.
The Wheatbelt is a pretty awesome place to live isn’t it? Anyone else just have a big smile on their face after watching those videos?
Happy Friday!
