Every Thursday at the Gallery, we host our Artists’ Group. This is a peer-led self-supporting bunch of like-minded people who want to come and enjoy their artistic endeavours in a free and easy space. There are no rules – except “no fighting” and “playing nicely”!
There is no teacher or leader. The idea of our Artists’ Group is to encourage, compliment and share knowledge, techniques and experience with each other. Two of our group have firmly stated that traditional classes or workshops are either not value for money or intimidating.
From time to time, we also have our Gallery artists in attendance. Even then, there is no change in rank of any sort. All our artists feel they are on a level playing field within the perimeters of the Group.
So feel free to drop in on Thursdays and join our merry band. BYO your art materials and easel. We do have an Artists’ table as well. If you are coming for the first time, please send a message through the website so we can welcome you.
We provide tea, coffee, chocolate and morning tea. You can stay all day if you wish. All for $5 per artist.
PS the open fire warms the Gallery like a treat!
